A day of scattered showers

22nd December 2018

It was nice enough this morning with some summits visible but by the time I had walked up the hill it was cloudy on the tops with a moderate West- South – West wind. There is only a touch of snow on the higher summits with some sporadic patches of older snow remaining on high corrie rims above 750 meters mainly on North – East aspects.

Sugar nan Fhir Duibhe and Creag Dhub, Beinn Eighe from the road side this morning.

By the time I got up to around 800 meters visibility had decreased .

Older snow patches remain on corrie rims and are generally well bonded.
