Sunshine and views

8th March 2025

After a cloudy start the conditions soon improved to give a warm, dry day with some sunshine. Very little snow remains in the area and what there is, is well bonded and stable.

Torridon is the largest of our forecast areas and a central viewpoint on Carn a’ Glinne gave views to most of the main mountains in the area with the exception of the more coastal ones. The photos below start with the view North and then go round in a clockwise direction.

The Fisherfield mountains are in the Northern pat of the area.

The Fannichs are in the Eastern part of the area.

Fionn Bheinn

The mountains between Glen Carron and Glen Torridon are in the South-Western part of the area.

Liathach

Beinn Eighe

Slioch and Loch Maree.

Zoomed in on Slioch to show some remaining snow patches.
