Clear and sunny with strong but warm Southerly winds

10th April 2015

Another sunny day in the Torridon hills but with a very strong Southerly wind, great views and good visibility.

The snowpack is currently pretty soft and accommodating for security of movement in descent and ascent, tomorrow though this will change as temperatures drop significantly to minus 5 degrees centigrade on the summits ( plus 6-7 today) the snowpack will be very icy and firm in many places with serious run outs onto rocks. however given the snow distribution at the moment snowfields can be avoided if necessary.
