Winter returns

Overnight snow with further showers through the day made it look like winter again in Torridon today. The cover is currently fairly cosmetic but some further snow is forecast for tonight and tomorrow. The higher summits were mostly in cloud while I was out but I managed to get a few reasonable photos in the clearer moments.

A little fresh snow with old snow remaining along the ridge flank on Creag Dhubh.
The graupel shown here was causing a weak layer in the snowpack, acting a bit like ball bearings. There is currently only a very thin layer of snow above this so it is not a significant hazard.
