New Snow

15th March 2024

The persistent and generally light overnight rain eased into showers by mid morning today, but the cloud didn’t break until early afternoon to reveal a shallow overall new snow cover down to around 600m. mostly lying on bare ground. Colder conditions than of late with light to moderate winds generally from the North. The old snow is firm and well bonded, greatest amounts remaining on high N to E aspects on the more inland mountains.

Below are a few disappointing cloudy photos to give an impression of new snow amounts in the Fannaichs.
