More snow
23rd February 2024
Snow showers and moderate Westerly winds with summits in cloud for much of the day. Old snow patches are now very firm. Localised areas of poorly bonded windslab have developed, the weaknesses being caused by graupel (see yesterday’s blog for photo of graupel). Full details in the avalanche report.
