Glimpses

3rd February 2024

The snowline and the cloud base were both at around 700 metres today. There were glimpses of the dusting of fresh snow when the cloud lifted a bit and a couple of glimpses of the sun between the showers.

A glimpse of the fresh snow on Beinn Dearg during a brief rise in the cloud base.

A glimpse of the sun on Loch Damh,

A glimpse of sunshine. This was as bright as it got today. Looking across Loch Torridon to Beinn Damh.

Firm patchy old snow and a dusting of fresh snow at around 900 metres on Beinn Alligin.

Rivers are still high from yesterday’s rain and snowmelt. The Abhainn Coire Mhic Nobuil here.
