Cloudy on the tops but a colder outlook

4th January 2024

A cloudy day on the tops, mild with the freezing level above the tops. Limited snow cover which is confined to gullies and coire rims above 800m altitude. Snowpack soft now but will turn firm and icy during Friday.

Deep snow on ridge flanks, here descending from the summit of Creag Dubh at around 850m

Large snow patches at tops of coires which guard access to many tops!

Looking toward Kinlochewe and Slioch
