A dusting of fresh snow

19th December 2023

It was another windy day with showers falling as snow above around 750 metres. There is a dusting of snow and more is expected overnight into Wednesday before the freezing level rises above the summits on Wednesday morning and heavy rain arrives. This will  wash away most, if not all, of the thin cover of snow unfortunately.

The outlook is for cooler conditions from Thursday onwards so hopefully some longer lasting areas of snow will start to build.

Coire an Laoigh. Generally just a dusting with slightly deeper accumulations in sheltered locations such as around the corrie rim here.
