Sunshine and snow showers

7th March 2023

Very changeable conditions on the mountains today.  The phrase ‘sunshine and snow showers’ sums it up nicely.  Excellent visibility when the sun shone and appalling when caught in the heavy snow showers.  There is a big disparity in the amount of snow lying depending on where the snow showers went.  For example, there was 4 inches of ‘freshie’s in Kinlochewe this morning but when I drove up to Achnasheen, there was a mere dusting.  Most of the snow is lying on bare ground but there are definitely isolated pockets with bite.   Check out the report for full details.
