What a difference a day makes…

After an uninspiring Friday it was wonderful to see snow and blue skies on Saturday morning. Modest overnight snowfall had transformed the landscape. As the day progressed the superficial cover melted quickly and the snow line moved higher on aspects exposed to the sun.

Below; Graphic evidence of overnight drifting of new snow on Easterly winds. The greatest overnight accumulations today were on previously bare Westerly aspects.
