Cloudy with some showers
9th January 2023
Today was cloudy with some bright spells and a few showers. Showers were initially snow above around 600 metres, higher later as the freezing level rose to around 950 metres. The existing snowpack is well bonded and stable, thawing below 800 metres, firm above. Only some very minor windslab accumulations are present in wind sheltered areas. Tomorrow the freezing level will rise above the summits with precipitation turning to rainat all levels. Remain unsettled but becoming colder again on Wednesday.
