A fine but blustery day

7th January 2023

A blustery day in the hills with strong Southerly winds. The snow pack has depleted overnight and is becoming increasingly patchy. The freezing level is lowering a bit with wintry hill showers expected so perhaps we will see more snow on the tops tomorrow!

Beinn Eighe, looking into Coire an Laoigh from the road side this morning.

Some ice hanging in on Pyramid Buttress!

Looking   to a South-Westerly direction into Coire a’ Chaorachin from near the mast 776m on Scurr a’ Chaorachin.

Apart from the cold strong winds it’s been a fine day! Looking over towards Beinn Alligin, Liathach and beyond.
