A brief calmer spell

30th January 2023

Today was much calmer than yesterday was and tomorrow will be, tomorrows weather will at least bring snow not rain! After yesterdays rain the snowpack has refrozen and is firm in most places. There is only a thin covering of fresh snow in some locations. After another thaw tonight tomorrow will be cold and windy with frequent snow showers. Windslab will build gradually throughout the day in wind sheltered locations. There is some uncertainty in forecast snowfall amounts for tomorrow.
