High pressure dominating.

19th March 2022

A wonderful day although the wind was strong at times. It was a bright, dry and clear day with some high cloud developing later. The snow pack is generally well bonded and stable with some surface softening where the snow is directly exposed to the sun. The snow cover is still good here in the hills of Torridon. An ice axe/ski poles and crampons are required in many places.

Fine views out west from Sgurr a’ Chaorachain.

Nice views into Beinn Bhan.

Beinn Eighe and Liathach with good cover at higher levels.
