Another blustery day.

23rd February 2022

There were strong to gale force West-South-West winds today, making it feel quite unpleasant on the hill. Visibility was not so great on the tops but occasionally the sun made a strong attempt at trying to get through. We are having some heavy snow showers through this afternoon and more frequent tomorrow. This new snow will be transported in the gale strength winds, drifting to eventually settle on to wind sheltered terrain where we can expect deepening and more wide spread windslab instabilities to form. Cornices will grow and become fragile.
