A nicer day at long last

13th February 2022

I was only blown away by the nice conditions not the gale force winds today. At long last a pleasant day. Fresh winds, very light and occasional drizzle showers but generally a fine day with in the main, good visibility. I met several parties walking in the hills which was a sign that the weather has improved. The snow pack has depleted and is soft but generally stable below 800 metres. There remain some isolated instabilities on steep wind sheltered terrain above this level.
