A rainy day in the glen

29th November 2021

A milder spell of weather  today with drizzle and rain at most levels. Overnight there were some occasional sleet and snow showers at higher levels. The snow pack is depleting but good cover is remaining above 650 metres. Today, I did find some remaining wind slab instabilities on East through South to West aspects at 800 meters. The snow pack was beginning to turn wet so we can expect a period of increased instability overnight and into tomorrow, but later in the period the general trend will be improving stability as the snow pack depletes.
