Afternoon Rain

After a bright start to the day, thickening cloud heralded the arrival of rain by early afternoon along with strengthening Southerly winds. Mild temperatures ensured rain at all levels, but forecast to turn wintry later.

Snow patches hanging in there on the east end of Beinn Eighe.

Bare hillsides in Glen Torridon.

Coire an Laoigh, Beinn Eighe.

South Torridon hills with Maol Chean-dearg centre. Dark thickening cloud behind as frontal systems approach from the South-West bringing rain.

A bit of blue to the east with lebticular cloud forming ahaead of strengthening winds. Snowless Fionn Beinn on the left and the Sgurr a’ Mhuillinn hills on the right.
