A wonderful day.

2nd January 2019

It was -4 as I drove along the Glen Torridon road this morning from Kinlochewe and +3 degrees on my return this afternoon. It been a clear, dry day with very good visibility. There is a dusting of snow on the higher summits.

A dusting of snow on the higher summits.

Looking back towards the summits of Beinn Eighe from high on the traverse of Liathach.

Seemed to me that this Ptarmigan was enjoying the dusting of snow, low temperatures and blast of sunshine.

Buttresses and gullies are quite bare of snow – just a dusting.
