The mild spell continues.

27th December 2018

It was plus 4 degrees celsius on the summit of Spidean Coire nan Clach, Beinn Eighe on my morning round today. Persistent drizzle in the fresh South-West winds is depleting the snow pack rather rapidly.  As these images show, much of the ground is bare of snow.

Spidean Coire nan Clach, on a clear day it can give good views of the surrounding hills.

Even in the drizzly weather there are people enjoying the hills. Here are Charlie (black jacket) Dave and Helen, an intrepid and very friendly team from Shrewsbury.

Always nice to get lower and enjoy brighter periods and views of Loch Bharanch and Loch Clair.
