That’s All Folks!

22nd April 2017

The final blog today. Firstly, from the Torridon forecasting team, many thanks for all your kind thoughts and feedback throughout this season 2016/17, it is much appreciated. We hope you all have a good summer and fingers crossed for a ‘normal’ winter next season.

A bright but cloudy day today, with a few localised showers. A dusting of fresh snow overnight (down to 600m on the more inland mountains) thawed at lower levels throughout the day, but remains at higher elevations. Warmer tomorrow, but becoming significantly colder through next week with more sleet and fresh snow on the tops. The old snow will remain firm.

The photos below were taken from the same locations as yesterday for a comparison.(Above)  Beinn Liath Mhor Fannaich and Sgurr Mor with a dusting of fresh snow above 800m.(Above)  An Teallach with less new snow being a more coastal mountain.(Above)  The main Fannaich skyline.Obvious fresh snow on the higher Fannaich summits.
