Rainbow Day

3rd February 2017

Rain showers and sunshine, then sunshine and showers, then a mostly sunny day. Perfect for rainbows. No fresh snow observed. The few remaining patches and strips of old snow still hanging in there. Snow forecast for tomorrow, but amounts are expected to be small.

Part rainbow over Beinn Dearg. Rainbow – I’ve never been satisfied with that word. I look on it as an effect of the sun not rain. It’s a positive and day brightening event. Is your cup half full or half empty? I prefer the French ‘Arc en Ciel’.

A shower clearing over the main Fannaich mountains.

Autumn colours remain in the glen and an autumn look on the mountains.
