Ah… the Sun

Great to feel the weak warmth of a January sun on the face, albeit rather fleetingly! Winter is back for the new year 2017. There is a thin cover of fresh snow, with pockets of windslab on steep lee slopes and runnels. More wintry showers forecast for tomorrow. Return to milder weather on Tuesday!
Fresh snow on Liathach. Burns still up from previous days rain.
Heading into Coire an Laoigh, Beinn Eighe. We expected a lot more snow on these aspects.

The east end of Beinn Eighe with obvious areas of snow deposition in lee locations and scouring of exposed windward areas.
