Winter Back with a Bang

Winter is back with intense wintry showers, and an ‘odd rumble of thunder’, depositing a light cover of snow above 450 metres. The gale force westerlies persisted throughout the day, strengthening ahead of the showers and scoured exposed summits and ridges. More of the same overnight and tomorrow.

Coire an Laoigh, Beinn Eighe. The ground remains relatively warm, allowing the burns to continue running in winter.
