Light Snowfall

The light snow showers persisted all day fed in on a cold North Westerly light to moderate wind. The widespread breakable crust is now weight bearing – mostly! Firm and icy snow exists on most aspects particularly wind exposed summit slopes and ridges.

Creag Dhubh and Coire Domhain in a clearing snow shower – as good as it got!

Bands of cloud at various levels clung to the hills. A layer of warmer air was noted at the snow profile site.

Heavy wet snowfall at lower levels in the Caledonian pinewoods of Glen Torridon.
