More Like Winter

A reasonable day and a Happy New Year! Feeling wintery with freezing level down to 600m this morning and fresh winds giving a high windchill effect. Dusting of snow to 500m last night but exposed ridges and summits blown clear.
Still no real base to the snow cover. Bits of ice forming high up on Liathach. But will it outlast in the milder conditions forecast tomorrow?
Coire an Laoigh, Beinn Eighe. Pockets of recent windslab in runnels and below the corrie rim.
Approaching front to the South East. Loch Clair and Moruisg hills behind.
Lenticular cloud cap on Ben Damph – winds due to increase in strength overnight.
