Cold but Bright

9th January 2016

Heavy frost again overnight. Very cold as the Easterlies picked up in the morning. Superficial amounts of snow, enhanced by the heavy riming still present, particularly on northern aspects. No ice in the northern corries of Liathach! Cloud cover increased later with slight rise in temperature.

France, Switzerland or Austria? No, Scotland!

Good friction day for bouldering! 10 points for those who can tell me where.

    Fabulous first photo.
….Actually….that IS Austria,….somewhere in the Zillertal. I recognise it because I lost my alpenstock there when laying siege to the Nordgrat.
The bouldering question: Columbia Boulder, Camp 4, Yosemite Valley…shirley? Or, the boulder with all the chalk marks on it…No??
    (I’m doing this commenting thing right…aren’t I?)

Hi Tom. 1 point for effort! As you can tell, I haven’t got the hang of it either?
