This blog is intended to provide hazard and mountain condition information to help plan safer mountain trips.

Strong South-West winds and occasional showers today. The freezing level rose above the summits during the morning. The cloud base was around 700 metres and as most of the snow is currently above this height it made taking interesting pictures difficult.

A little fresh snow on the sheltered/leeward/right/North side of the ridge.

Creag Dubh, Beinn Eighe. Patches of old snow and a dusting of new. This was the highest that I saw the cloud base lift today.
