18th February 2020

Lots of the new snow that fell last night and this morning was drifting in the strong mainly Westerly winds today. North to South-East aspects above 700 metres are most affected.

Creag Dhubh, Beinn Eighe the venue for today.

Spin drift in the strong winds today

More spin drift, snow being moved onto the North-East facing slope on the left side of the picture at around 700 metres.

Taken in a similar location as the previous photo in a break in the winds.

Looking up the same ridge, showing cornices starting to develop as the wind redistributes snow.
