Cloudy, but Improving

Obvious snow loss from yesterday. In the mild weather, the snowpack is diminishing, but also consolidating. Minor weaknesses persist in localised areas of windslab at higher elevations, particularly where it gains depth on very steep slopes. Hill cloud mostly dissipated by the afternoon.(Above)  Cloud cap still hanging in there midday on Liathach.(Above)  Misty and poor visibility on Sgurr a’ Chaorachain, Applecross with soggy remains of cornices on the coire rim.(Above)  Cloudy Beinn Alligin acroos Loch Torridon.A bright Sgurr nan Fhir Duibhe – Creag Dhubh ridge of Beinn Eighe in the afternoon.
