A Cloudy, Mild and Wet Eclipse!

20th March 2015

Unfortunately, but unsurprisingly, a poor day in Glen Torridon to witness one of natures great spectacles. The snowpack has diminished since last weekend to the extent that it is patchy above 700m, with most snow on the North to East aspects particularly on Beinn Eighe. However, conditions are good underfoot for mountain walking.

No climbing here then! Dirty old wet snow avalanche streaks clearly visible.
