A break in the clouds

13th December 2024

A mainly cloudy morning with occasional breaks giving some photo opportunities. There is shallow snow cover on many aspects above 700 metres. This was firm in many places particularly around summit areas, where exposed rock was also covered in rime. Some fresh snow is expected overnight, although amounts are expected to be small, this will be followed by a dry but cloudy morning before rain sets in as the freezing levels rise above the summits in the afternoon.
