A Quiet Day

Settled high pressure dominates. More cloud appeared today than was expected, but teasing views through to the Fannichs and Beinn Dearg before the cloud drifted northwards. Very little change in the snow cover over the last few days. Rime is forming on the highest summits and ridges. Signs of ice starting to build.
Goodbye to the sun over the Fannichs.

No real depth to the snow cover as perhaps expected from a distance.
Disappointed famous mountaineer! No bumsliding for him – too little snow, too many rocks.
