Spring time

2nd April 2023

It has been a super nice day here, dry all day with very light winds. The snow cover is very patchy, thawing continues and any remaining snow patches are generally stable.

Beinn Bhan with very little snow remaining.

Sgurr a’ Chaorachain 792m more or less bare of snow.

Patches of snow remain on Creag Dhubh, Beinn Eighe.

The Ptarmigan’s feathers are changing from white to hues of brown.

The first frog spawn I have seen this year – an indication that spring is here!
