White Christmas Eve in Torridon
24th December 2015
The heavy rain early on Christmas Eve quickly turned to snow at all levels. Falling in light winds there is a pretty uniform blanket of snow above 300 metres.
Looking South from Beinn Eighe over the Torridon Glen road.
Visibility deteriorated rapidly in the heavy showers.
Hard going in places….especially after walking on bare ground recently.
Later in the day as the South Westerly winds increased lying snow was being blown into sheltered locations on North Easterly aspects.
A huge thank you to the Torridon community for their hospitality at last nights Christmas Party in the village hall and also for the support they give to SAIS Torridon throughout the winter.
