A Grand Day Out

It was a cloudy evening and day which meant that there was no ‘possible overnight frost’ as forecasted. Â The sun did threaten to come out in the afternoon, but was soon engulfed with thicker clouds. Â As a result, the snowpack continues to thaw slowly. Â Taking advantage of the good weather, a grand tour of the Torridon area seemed appropriate. Â It’s always good to get a good idea of where there is snow and where there isn’t snow. Â I can confirm that there is more isn’t than is at this stage. Â The freezing level will be dropping to 700 metres tomorrow which will mean that the snowpack will start to refreeze and snow is in the forecast.
