Happy Christmas. The red sky didn’t last long as a weak front brought milder conditions (10C at sea level this afternoon) with strengthening SW winds, light rain, drizzle and low cloud by mid morning.

(Above) The lower reaches of An Teallach ‘blackening up’ as the freezing level rises.
(Above) Similar scene in the Fannaichs. It was still freezing at the higher summit level through the morning, maintaining instabilities in localised areas of windslab. The wee lochan in the fore remains frozen over.
(Above) A gift from the all knowing Mr Clause….! How did Santa know that I would be at the summit cairn this morning?
