The Round of Creag Dhubh

A fine day to be out on the hill, albeit very windy and wintry when the showers passed through. Great views between the showers. I’ve forgotten about all that rain already…..! Up the north ridge and down the east ridge of Creag Dhubh at the east end of Beinn Eighe.
Looking wintry on Creag Dhubh in the morning Alpenglow. There looks like more snow cover than there actually is.
Looking across to the Corbett of Meall a’ Ghiuthais and Slioch on the right. From the north ridge of Creag Dhubh.
Much spindrift around the summit of Creag Dhubh. I was blown over a few times particularly in the gusts preceding an incoming shower. Stay away from the left edge!
Darkness ahead of the next shower! The main ridge of Beinn Eighe. Most of the spindrift was blown from the summits and exposed ridges to lower levels where it either settled or thawed depending on the elevation.
Looking through the spindrift down the east ridge, across Kinlochewe to the sunlit Fannaich mountains and Fionn Bheinn on the right.
Wave clouds over Creag Dhubh and spindrift blowing off the summit.

Yep, iPhone it is. But lucky shots from the top as I was focusing on trying to stand up rather than thinking about composition!
