The Torridon Trio

Due to the mild conditions, there is a much depleted snow cover throughout the Torridon forecast area and as Sir Sean would say; ‘it’sh a shight for shore eyesh’!
The snow line is around 600 – 650m depending on aspect and many high summits are bereft of snow. Although the snowpack is stable, soft and wet, it will be a bit firmer around the higher tops.
1Â Liathach
The northern coires.
Dribbles of ice hanging on in Coireag Dubh Mor and Coire na Caime on the right below the main summit of Mullach an Rathain.
South side with Pyramid Buttress of Spidean a’ Choire Leith on the left and Stuc A’ Choire Dhuibh Bhig on the right.
2Â Beinn Alligin
Spot the snow on Beinn Alligin! Being on the coastal fringe, Alligin typically has less snow than the more inland mountains. Beinn Dearg on the right.
3Â Beinn Eighe
East end of Beinn Eighe.
Beinn Eighe south side.
Nice to see that the Auld Boy is still around…! Enjoying the spring conditions.
