Fine and Cold

There is a bit of heat in the sun now, only in the shelter from the cold North wind – and ‘cranreuch cauld’. The wintry showers were more intense drifting down the coast and broken cloud further inland. The breakable crust still persists!
Meall an t-Sithe (Hill of the Fairy), the location of todays snow profile. A great little peak with 360 degrees panorama of the Beinn Dearg hills, the Fannichs, some Torridon and Achnashellach hills, Slioch and the Great Wilderness hills, An Teallach and some lower coastal hills for example, Beinn More Coigach – phew! Route choice today involved avoiding the snow until at summit level where the crust was weight bearing – just.
