Drifting snow

13th March 2026

Snow showers throughout the day today. A lot of the overnight snow blew to lower levels or just into the atmosphere on very strong winds. The winds eased a little during the day allowing significant drifting and a some windslab development occurred in wind sheltered areas.

More snow tomorrow with West-South-Westerly winds which will ease through the forecast period. Continued windslab development as detailed in the avalanche hazard report.
