Sunshine in Torridon

6th March 2026

It was a dry, sunny day with a moderate South-South-Westerly wind. After a frosty night the freezing level rose to above the summits in the afternoon. There was noticeable thawing of yesterdays fresh snow in the sun but the older snowpack remained very firm.
