Hard and Icy Snow

A clear cold day. A continually firming snowpack and cold conditions is presenting good climbing conditions but also a very hard and icy snowpack that certainly makes you think! It certainly focuses the mind on good crampon technique and ice axe work on those steep slopes. A very windy day too near the tops!
