Firm and Icy snowpack

29th January 2026

A day in the Fannichs which presented a different character to the Torridon hills , checking out NW aspects in the Fannichs range , being more inland these mountains tend to hold more snow than  the more coastal ranges of Torridon. Today there was a dusting of new snow above 700m. All the visible snow in the images is pretty much firm snow-ice.
