Before the rain

13th December 2025

An early start was required to beat the rain today. The wind was strong from dawn but the heavy rain didn’t arrive till late morning. Todays photos show the lack of snow we are currently experiencing in Torridon but are not representative of the weather you would have experienced if you were out later in the day. Heavy rain developed and the freezing level rose  accompanied by storm force winds on the summits. Mild wet and windy conditions due to continue through the remainder of the weekend. Slightly cooler weather with some summit snow is forecast from late Monday.
