Thaw conditions

2nd February 2025

Rain at all levels with strong Southerly winds this morning giving a significant thaw. Rain briefly turned to snow above 600 metres before giving way to clearer conditions this afternoon. New snow immediately melted with no significant new snow deposits. More rain and mild temperatures tomorrow will lead to high river levels and further snow loss. Colder and drier conditions are forecast for Tuesday.
