Sunshine, Showers and Rainbows

22nd February 2025

A cooler day today than yesterday, although the freezing level was around 1100m, meaning that precipitation fell as rain at all levels. Little change to the snow cover as it remains very limited, patchy and slowly thawing in all locations.

Heavy rain with storm force Southerly winds for daytime tomorrow on the summits. A day for the cafe perhaps?

Below are a few photos showing the extent, or lack of it, of the snow cover in the north of our forecast area. And apologies for no photos of the rainbows. They were rather fleeting.
