Torridon Snow Patches

19th March 2024

Today was a chance to look at the remaining snow in the more coastal mountains of the Torridon area. After the rain cleared this morning clouds lifted to show what remains after the latest thaw. Many areas are free of snow with only a few patches remaining generally around coire rims or summits on North to East aspects. Slightly more snow remains on the more inland hills such as the Fannichs, pictured yesterday, however many areas are bare of snow. Those snow patches that do remain will become firm and icy in the colder temperatures tomorrow.

More rain with further snow loss is forecast for Thursday before a return to colder conditions and snow on Friday.
