Overnight snow
1st February 2024
Some fresh snow yesterday afternoon and overnight was melting at lower elevations this morning and at all elevations later in the afternoon. The older snowpack was still firm above 750 metres. It was a little less windy today but progress still difficult in the stronger gusts. Grey all day so not the best for photographs but a few showing what I could see of the snow below.

The fresh snow is much whiter than the old snow.
